Turkey is anything but a big chicken: to cartwheel without running off the track, nutrition and techniques need to be adapted to the specific characteristics of the species. In this presentation, different levers will be explored to express turkey performance without jeopardizing the litters.

Pierre Moquet studied at the Ecole Supérieure d’Agricultures (ESA) in Angers, then at Wageningen University (Netherlands). His background as an engineer, then a doctor, helped him specialize in poultry nutrition.
For the last seven years, he has been working for miXscience (a company part of April Group) that offers a comprehensive range of premix, additives and services in support of the animal nutrition stakeholders to resolve competitiveness, sustainability and animal welfare issues. At miXscience, Pierre holds the position of Deputy Manager of the broiler poultry department.
