Nicolas Destombes, P. Ag.
Technical Coordinator, Lohmann France

After graduating as an agricultural engineer, confirmed by a thesis on bird behaviour carried out within INRA, Nicolas Destombes started in animal nutrition with a research engineer position in the EVIALIS corporation's R&D department.

After 4 years, in 2001, he joined the TERRENA cooperative as a poultry formulator/nutritionist. His 15 years with this group in the positions of Poultry Nutritionist and then Technical Manager of the animal nutrition sector (1.5 million tons of feed over 11 plants) has allowed him to be involved in several fields related to formulation, quality, buying, technologies, plants and production monitoring for poultry, as well as hogs and ruminants.

At the end of 2015, Mr. Destombes joined the European subsidiary of Groupe Jefo, also in a Technical Manager position, to provide scientific and technical support to the Maghreb and European teams.

Looking to come back to a practical position, more involved in animal production, he joined in 2019 the Lohmann France corporation in a Technical Coordinator position with two parallel roles:

  • clients' technical and nutritional support with the sales and technical team
  • hatching eggs management for pullet production (18 million/year).
