This conference will address the principle of ventilation energy recovery using heat exchangers. The different models available on the Québec, American and European markets will be presented. Finally, the results of the energy saving and greenhouse gas reduction effects in Québec will be presented and a summary of the zootechnical performances will be discussed.
Yves Choinière holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from MacDonald College of McGill University and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ottawa. He is a member of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec and the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
He is an elected member of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Association des ingénieurs en agroalimentaire du Québec and the Canadian Society for Bioengineering.
Mr. Choinière founded Les Consultants Lemay & Choinière inc. in 1995. The firm is specialized in agricultural buildings and environment.
