Her first job in the poultry industry was as an ally, having been hired as veterinarian technical representative by a Canadian food additive company.
She then worked as a veterinary practitioner for one of the three major poultry meat processors in Canada. She was in charge of the veterinary services for breeders and quality control of the hatcheries.
Her interest in the prevention and control of diseases, risk evaluation and zoonoses has inspired her to pursue a master's degree in veterinary epidemiology and public health. After recently celebrating 10 years as a board-certified veterinarian, she has gladly joined the Georgia Poultry Laboratory Network (GPLN), an organization well known in the global poultry capital.
Her goal is to support the poultry industry in Georgia and elsewhere with disease diagnosis, surveillance and analysis, for a thriving and sustainable industry. She is enthusiastic to learn and exchange with fellow poultry professionals.
