Avian colibacillosis is a major cause of mortality among laying hens in Canada. For decades, oxytetracycline has been the primary treatment for this infection. However, as it passes through the digestive tract, this antibiotic can disrupt the balance of the gut microbiota. This study aims to better understand the effects of different dosages of oxytetracycline on these disruptions in chickens.
