As years go by, pressure is steadily rising on agriculture to increase production performances without decreasing quality standards. To support this key industry, what are the support tools implemented by the government authorities?
Son of a farmer and raised on a swine and dairy farm in the Portneuf area, Stéphane Grondines graduated in 1992 at Université Laval with an animal science bachelor's degree.
In addition to the swine and dairy industries, his first job as a sales consultant for Alfred Couture introduces him to the poultry industry. After almost 14 years in the Couture's family, Stéphane accepts a new challenge with Les Consultants Denis Champagne, where he will work for 3 years as a consulting agronomist for swine and dairy farmers. Having always liked the poultry industry, it's in 2009 that he gets an opportunity to become Poultry Sales Director at Agri-Marché inc., a business offering with poultry feed services from the Maritimes to Eastern Ontario. After 10 years working for the Brochu Family, Stéphane briefly worked for Farm Credit Canada in 2019, before coming back to the Consultants Denis Champagne team last October.
Now in his 29th year working in agriculture, his first goal is to enable the companies using his services to grow with adequate technical and economic support. He also helps farmers in their decision-making process with tools well adapted to the poultry industry like the calculation of their cost of production.
