The culmination of incubation, hatching, delivery, and barn preparation all play a role in the overall success or failure of a poult start. The key is to have monitoring systems in place, such as hatch windows, poult temperatures, with proper trucking and brooder temperature monitoring. Everything will not always be perfect, so it is important to have an idea of what to do in advance of poult placements.

2021 marks William Alexander’s 36 years of industry experience with the first 14 years in breeders with Cuddy Farms and later Wrampler Longeacre. This is coupled with the transition to the commercial live production side of the business for 11 years holding positions of Live Production Manager for Pilgrim’s Pride Corp and Plainville Farms in New Oxford PA.
Currently he is employed with Hybrid Turkeys as Technical Service Representative starting in January 2011. Responsibilities include splitting time between commercial and breeder customers in both North and South America and Europe with the focus on helping customers implement new technical information.
